FAQ : DEA-CULT WARRANTY
The articles commercialized by Dea-cult company (hereinafter referred to as "Dea-cult"), which include bags, purses, glasses cases, belts, bracelets, wallets, card cases and rings (hereinafter referred to as the "products"), are subject to extensive quality controls.
The trust of customers in our articles is covered by warranties according to the terms and conditions described below (hereinafter referred to as the " Dea - cult warranty "). The Dea - cult Warranty does not affect the rights of the customer under any other contract, in particular the purchase contract with the reseller.
Dea-cult warranties cover Dea-cult articles purchased in the European Union. Articles acquired outside of the above mentioned geographical area are subject to the warranties defined by the Dea-cult representation entity in the geographical area concerned.
Legal conformity warranty
Articles sold on website "DEA-Cult.com" are compatible with the French current legislation concerning non professional use. The customer benefits from the legal conformity warranty mentioned in articles L. 217-4 to L. 211-14 of the code of consumption and of the warranty relative to the faults of sold product, under the conditions specified in articles 1641 to 1648 and 2232 of the civil code.
Dea-cult is liable for :
Conformity defects of the good to the contract
Defects of conformity under the conditions provided by the above mentioned articles.
In case of defects of conformity, the customer has the choice between repair or replacement of the product.
However, Dea-cult may not proceed according to the choice of the Customer if this choice leads to a cost that is clearly disproportionate to the other method, taking into account the value of the Product or the importance of the defect. Dea-cult is then obliged to proceed, unless this is impossible, according to the method not chosen by the Customer.
If the repair and replacement of the product is impossible, the Customer can return the Product and get a refund of the price or keep the Product and get a part of the price back, in accordance with the provisions of Article L. 217-10 of the Consumer Code.
Article L. 217-4 of the French Consumer Code: "The seller delivers goods that conform to the contract and is liable for any lack of conformity at the time of delivery. He is also liable for any lack of conformity resulting from the packaging, the assembly instructions or the installation when the latter has been put at his expense by the contract or has been carried out under his responsibility".
Article L. 214-5 of the Consumer Code: "To be in conformity with the contract, the goods must :
1° Be fit for the purpose usually expected of similar goods and, where appropriate :
- correspond to the description given by the seller and have the qualities that the seller has presented to the buyer in the form of a sample or model;
- have the qualities that a buyer may legitimately expect, having regard to the public statements made by the seller, the producer or his representative, in particular in advertising or labelling;
2° Or have the characteristics defined by mutual agreement between the parties or be suitable for any special use sought by the buyer, brought to the attention of the seller and accepted by the latter.
Article L. 217-11 of the French Consumer Code: The application of the provisions of Articles L. 217-9 and L. 217-10 is without cost to the buyer. These same provisions do not prevent the allocation of damages.
Article L. 217-12 of the Consumer Code: "The action resulting from the lack of conformity is prescribed by two years from the delivery of the goods.
When he acts in legal guarantee of conformity, the consumer :
- has a period of two years from the delivery of the goods to act;
- may choose between repairing or replacing the goods, subject to the cost conditions provided for in article L. 217-9 of the Consumer Code;
- is exempted from proving the existence of the lack of conformity of the goods during the six months following the delivery of the goods. This period is extended to twenty-four months from March 18, 2016, except for used goods.
The legal guarantee of conformity applies independently of any commercial guarantee that may have been granted.
Dea-cult contractual warranty
Dea-cult ensures the perfect quality of its products, and gives them all its care from their design to their distribution.
Dea-cult products are sold exclusively on our platform Dea-Cult. or in the approved points of sale, whose list and contact information are updated periodically, in particular on the website Dea-Cult.
In case of a product not conforming to the quality standards of Dea-Cult, the Customer benefits from an international contractual guarantee:
During the two years following the purchase for products made of luxury leathers
For five years following the purchase for products made of exotic skins

The Dea-Cult International Warranty covers:
A possibility to repair the product
An exchange for an identical item whenever possible and, failing that, for a Product of similar value.
At the end of the warranty period, Dea-Cult offers a repair and restoration service, the price list of which is available on request on the Dea-Cult website.
Dea-cult Warranty Exclusions
Our warranties are valid if the product is used in a normal way. We remind you that leather articles should avoid direct exposure to the sun as much as possible.
As the leather ages, it will acquire a patina and darken due to skin secretions and possible exposure to direct sunlight. The warranty does not cover:
Damage caused by a color transfer,
Incorrect usage or modifications,
Maintenance or repairs performed by anyone other than Dea-cult
Scratches (can never be completely removed.)
